Frequently Asked Questions
General
We here at Monkey Tools are always making sure that we are supporting the latest Apple has to offer. To that end, all current versions of our products are supported under 10.6.
The one change to note is that in 10.6 Apple has changed the way that they have handled contextual Menus. We are working to reimplement this time saving feature and will include it in a future release.
Each purchase includes one license to be activated on a single machine. If the original machines license was not deactivated prior to erasing or moving to your new machine, contact customer service and we will reset your activation. Once the activation is reset, you can activate on the new machine.
Important: After deactivating, you may not be able to activate for up to 30 minutes. This is due to the need for all servers to note the deactivation. We recommend waiting at least 5 minutes before trying to activate.
To avoid this is the future, be sure to de-activate your license by choosing the deactivation option under the products application menu.
All purchases made through the online webstore can take up to an hour to fully activate. If you still cannot activate after an hour, contact customer service.
Each of our products is updated often, and most of these updates are free to licensed users. To upgrade your your software, select the "Check for Update..." option in the applications menu and follow the prompts.
For major paid upgrades the process is quite simple. Ensure that you have the latest licensed version installed and activated and then download the new update. Run the new version and you will be provided with the upgrade options. Follow the prompts and you will be up and running with the latest features and abilities in no time.
Our products will run in demo mode for 15 days from date of first launch. During this time, you can experience all of the powerful features of the application. The only limitation is that the first half of all processed files will be the expected audio, but the second half will contain silence. A license can be purchased at anytime by choosing the "Buy" option from the application menu or splash screen. Once activated all restrictions will be lifted. At the end of the 15 day demo, the application will no longer operate until purchased and activated.
All Monkey Tools products are Universal Binary and 100% native on both Intel® and PowerPC microprocessors.
All products have been updated to take full advantage of all audio formats supported by the Apple® Quicktime® architecture. This includes the ability to read files through Quicktime components such as the Flip4Mac® Windows Media® component, and others.
If you have a file format that you would like to see supported, we want to hear from you. Click here to contact us with your request.
